Desenvolvimento sociocognitivo da teoria da mente: estudos interventivos com crianças de 3 e 4 anos / Sociocognitive development of theory of mind: interventional studies with children aged three and four years

O objetivo da pesquisa foi investigar a eficácia de procedimentos interventivos, com ênfases na aquisição de verbos mentais e na prática de atribuição de estados mentais, sobre o desenvolvimento da teoria da mente em crianças de 3 e 4 anos de idade. Participaram 102 crianças distribuídas em três diferentes estudos. O primeiro estudo buscou avaliar a adequação das intervenções propostas, o segundo estudo investigou o efeito das intervenções e o terceiro estudo avaliou a eficácia do treino de três adultos na aplicação dos procedimentos avaliativos e interventivos. Os resultados, de modo geral, mostraram que os procedimentos interventivos tiveram efeito positivo no desenvolvimento da teoria da mente em crianças pequenas. A ênfase nos verbos mentais parece não ter apresentado efeito significativo. O treino de pessoas na aplicação dos procedimentos avaliativos e interventivos mostrou-se eficiente. Aspectos técnicos no emprego das técnicas avaliativas e interventivas apresentaram peculiaridades no que se refere ao material e linguagem utilizados(AU)

The aim of the research was to investigate the efficacy of interventional procedures, with emphasis on the acquisition of mental verbs and on the practice of attributing mental states on the development of theory of mind in children aged 3 and 4 years old. 102 children participated in this research and were divided into three different studies. The first study aimed to assess the adequacy of the proposed interventions, the second study investigated the effect of interventions and the third study evaluated the effectiveness of the training of three adults in the application of evaluative and interventional procedures. The results generally showed that the interventional procedures had a positive effect on the development of theory of mind in young children. The emphasis on mental verbs seems to have no significant effect. Training people in application of evaluative and interventional procedures proved to be efficient. Technical aspects in the use of interventional and evaluative techniques presented peculiarities with regard to the material and language used(AU)

Propriedades psicométricas de tarefas para avaliar funções executivas em pré-escolares / Adaptation and the psychometric investigation of a set of executive tasks for evaluation of executive functions in preschool children

Este trabalho teve como principal objetivo adaptar e investigar algumas propriedades psicométricas de um conjunto de tarefas de funções executivas. Participaram do estudo 91 crianças selecionadas de uma amostra aleatorizada e demograficamente representativa de uma cidade do interior de Minas Gerais. Os principais resultados encontrados foram: a obtenção de normas que são regionais para um conjunto de oito tarefas executivas; as tarefas executivas selecionadas são sensíveis ao desempenho da amostra com relação aos fatores de idade, de sexo e tipo de escola; o desempenho das crianças em tarefas de funções executivas melhora com a idade.(AU)

This work had as the principal objective the adaptation and the psychometric investigation of a set of executive functions tasks. Ninety-one children were included in this study selected from a random and demographicaly representative sample of a town of Minas Gerais state. The main results obtained were: the attainment of regional norms for a set of eight executive tasks, that the executive tasks selected are sensible at the sample’s performance to age, sex and school type and the performance of the children in tasks of executive functions gets better as they grow up.(AU)
